Community leaders and those with lived experience raised awareness of what the unhoused go through and ways people can help on Saturday, May 18 in Saint Albans City.
On Saturday, May 18, CVOEO and other organizations supporting unhoused members of Vermont communities will be hosting the "In Their Shoes" fundraiser. Check in for the event starts at 1 p.m. in St. Albans Taylor Park and the main event kicks off at 1:30.
Iona Grant’s life changed dramatically four months ago when a room opened up for her and her husband at Tim’s House, Franklin County’s only homeless shelter. “I'll praise this place to the highest of powers because it's made such a difference,” she said. “The change I’ve experienced within myself…I’ve got peace of mind and peace of soul.”
